Green Nile Bamboo
From the fertile lands of Uganda and Kenya, Green Nile Bamboo turns one of nature’s most efficient and rapidly renewing resources – growing twice as fast as temperate varieties – into climate-smart materials for global markets. With a tensile strength of 370 MPa and regeneration within just 3–5 years, our East African species (Oxytenanthera abyssinica, Bambusa vulgaris, and Dendrocalamus giganteus) embody resilience, strength, and sustainability.

Green Nile Bamboo East Africa is a steel-beating powerhouse—combining 370 MPa tensile strength, exceptional flexibility, and rapid 3–5 year maturity, growing twice as fast as temperate varieties.
We specialize in cultivating three of the region’s most versatile and high-performing species: Oxytenanthera abyssinica, Bambusa vulgaris, and Dendrocalamus giganteus. Known for their strength, resilience, and adaptability, these bamboos are ideal for structural applications, construction and design, bio-based products, and ecological restoration.
